We seek a talented and motivated Co-op Computer Scientist to join our team in a pivotal role. This position will contribute to developing a unified platform designed to serve operational metrics dashboards. The ideal candidate will actively participate in creating new dashboards and reports, refining existing ones, and ensuring they provide impactful and informative visuals that communicate data insights. Additionally, there will be opportunities to contribute to constructing and evaluating models intended to predict study demand and capacity based on the development lifecycle of new compounds.
In this role, you will be a valued contributor to our effort to create a unified platform that offers users a single point of access to all operational data. Your work will help produce stable, reliable, and user-friendly visuals that minimize administrative and cognitive burdens on our stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in building web applications, developing dashboards using modern tools, and working with ETLs. Additionally, strong Python coding and documentation skills are a must. Experience with AWS, GitHub, Dataiku, and/or PowerBI will be a significant advantage.
Required/Preferred Education:
Would be enrollment in a computer science, data science, biological /chemical science undergraduate or master’s program.
Required Experience and skills:
Strong skills with Python, visualization software (such as PowerBI), experience with SQL and database structure, and good documentation skills
Preferred experience and skills:
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS and/or AZURE), building ETL pipelines, and experience with GIT
