Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • One to three years of maintenance, facilities, manufacturing, industrial, or related experience is required.
  • Legal authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without sponsorship is required.
  • The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, crouching, and lifting in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
  • Employees must work around machinery, moving equipment, and noise while wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Employees must comply with Environmental, Health and Safety policies, procedures, and company Golden Rules.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, production equipment, facility systems, and building infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Interpret hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, hoists, and cranes.
  • Adjust machinery components and control devices to ensure proper operation.
  • Clean and lubricate machine components such as shafts, pulleys, gears, bearings, and related equipment.
  • Replace machine belts and perform general equipment upkeep.
  • Support maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
  • Clear clogged drains, repair plumbing fixtures, and complete general facility repairs.
  • Install, assemble, and repair furniture, fixtures, appliances, and facility equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and facility-related service calls.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S principles.
  • Identify and report workplace hazards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Integrated Management System, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Experience performing preventive maintenance and equipment repairs.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively across departments.

Sandvik has partnered with Rio Tinto to integrate its i-series surface drill rigs with Rio Tinto's Autonomous Drilling System. The collaboration will combine Sandvik's AutoMine automation technology with Rio Tinto's remote operations expertise to improve safety, productivity and system interoperability in open-pit mining. Development will be managed through Rio Tinto's Perth Operations Centre, beginning with testing at Sandvik's facility in Finland. Field trials will follow at Rio Tinto's Western Australian operations to evaluate performance against production targets. The project leverages existing autonomous infrastructure at Rio Tinto's iron ore sites and aligns with both companies' expansion plans, including Sandvik's recent copper mine equipment orders and Rio Tinto's $1.5 billion Quebec smelter expansion, due to complete by end-2026.

Sandvik reports $3B revenue, 23% order intake growth in Q1 2026

Swedish engineering group Sandvik reported strong first-quarter results for 2026, with order intake rising 23% to SEK 36.8 billion and revenues increasing 15% to SEK 30.7 billion, both at fixed exchange rates and organically. The company's adjusted EBITA margin improved to 20.0% from 19.7% in the prior year period, whilst adjusted EBIT margin reached 18.6%, up from 18.0%. Adjusted profit before tax rose to SEK 5.5 billion from SEK 5.0 billion. Diluted earnings per share increased to SEK 3.09 from SEK 2.97, whilst adjusted diluted earnings per share reached SEK 3.27, up from SEK 3.01.
