Position Summary:
EVgo provides turnkey charging solutions to its fleet partners through multiple turnkey solutions, including Dedicated Charging Hubs (“Hubs”). EVgo secures the real estate, designs and constructs site, electrifies chargers, and provides on-going required operations & maintenance services to Fleet Partners. Our Business Development and Solutions team is seeking a strategic-minded real estate intern to help support our scaling Hubs business. In this role, your summer project will be to develop scalable mechanisms and create a real estate playbook to help us manage our multiple transactions across the organization. You’ll work collaboratively with Engineering & Construction, Business Development, and Development Engineering to design and track real estate portfolio workflows, including but not limited to identification and outreach to potential hub prospects, streamlining of transaction tracking and execution, and program management of our growing real estate portfolio, including both purchase and ground-lease.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Vice President of Partnerships and Head of Real Estate, institute process management for the activities of in-house and outsourced resources in the delivery of real estate transaction services, construction / project management, site planning, and property management
- Evaluate and update playbook and process flow model for the real estate transaction lifecycle at EVgo
- Evaluate and update tracking mechanisms across the organization to streamline handoffs and swimlanes between key stakeholders
- Compile and track relevant documents, including but not limited to project initiation, market comparable reports, LOTs, and broker’s opinions of value, lease and purchase agreements, etc.
Required Skills and Experience:
- MBA candidate or undergraduate rising senior with a concentration in Real Estate
- 3-5 years transactional commercial real estate experience
- Proven track record building and scaling broker relationships
- Contract and lease negotiation experience
- Demonstrated ability to balance heavy transaction and negotiation workload successfully
- Previous experience working in customer relationship management systems (CRM).
Internship is 12-weeks, up to 30-hours per week.
Interns are required to provide documentation of COVID 19 vaccination.
For job positions in CA, CO and NYC, the estimated hourly rate for this position is $21.00 USD to $26.44 USD.
