Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of experience, or 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up-to 10% to support business needs.
  • Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD issued secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.
  • Software engineering and software development with Java experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of basic software practices such as coding standards and configuration management.
  • Experience developing enterprise applications in Java on Linux.
  • Experience with Java foundation classes and toolkits.
  • Experience working as part of an Agile team.
  • Experience and knowledge with the use of common software development and management tools such as: Git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven or Gradle, Eclipse.
  • Understand standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams.
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) at the start is highly desired.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for software development in Java.
  • Accountable for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
  • Maintains, debugs, and configures related software products.
  • Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications.
  • Assisted with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and program documentation.
  • Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve the overall efficiency of the operating system.
  • Designs, codes, tests, and implements tools for operations automation.
  • Works on most phases of software systems programming applications and may require instruction and guidance.
