Requirements
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience with FEMA's Grant Portal.
  • Experience in Preliminary Damage Assessment.
  • Provide Form I-9 supporting documentation that proves identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Ability to deploy with short notice.
  • Ability to commit to a minimum 20-week assignment in Kentucky and be physically able to work under disaster conditions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work professionally, effectively, and efficiently in a team environment with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with clients to document losses for reimbursement, including data packages and project worksheets.
  • Review complex documentation for missing hours, equipment, materials, and other items.
  • Assist project managers or engineers with major segments of moderate to complex projects or tasks.
  • Participate in site visits and inspections.
  • Quantify losses and create detailed damage descriptions for each site.
  • Document the proposed scope of work required to restore each site to its original condition.
  • Assist in gathering and processing documentation for grants and other reimbursement.
  • Travel as required by the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties that arise from time to time and are commensurate with the title and position.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with closeout packages.
  • Preference for candidates with one or more FEMA Public Assistance classroom trainings: Public Assistance Operations I, Public Assistance Operations II, Project Worksheet Development, Cost Estimating Format, Debris Management/Operations, or 406 Hazard Mitigation.
