This role offers an exceptional opportunity to manage all warehouse operations at the cutting-edge mRNA production site in Harwell. As the Manager, Warehouse Operations Leader, you will spearhead the management of inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring that all operations adhere to regulatory standards such as GDP, GMP, and Cold Chain requirements. The role encompasses the full spectrum of warehouse operations management, from process implementation and optimization to leadership and strategy in supply chain logistics.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Your key responsibilities will be:
Leading a team of warehouse operators to ensure efficient material flow, supporting both initial setups and ongoing commercial operations.
Overseeing the implementation of global logistics processes and providing central logistics support during the site’s setup phase.
Ensuring compliance with cGMP, and coordinating with trade compliance to follow import and export regulations.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Recruiting, training, and managing warehouse staff to maintain high operational standards and safety.
Monitoring and maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment.
Managing inventory levels and implementing effective inventory management policies.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
University degree in technology, engineering, or management/business administration
8+ years experience (with a Bachelor’s Degree) or 5-8 years experience (with a Master’s Degree) in various Distribution/Logistics functions and Supply Chain
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Strong preference towards Pharmaceutical and Biotech experience. Experience working in a cGMP and cGDP environment.
Good understanding of the Pharma industry & its different Supply Chain areas
Experience and proficient knowledge of project management, risk management methodologies and monitoring techniques
Experience and knowledge of cold chain technology, tools, shipping validation and distribution.
Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively collaborate and communicate with senior CMC Management in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment.
APICS certification (Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)) is a plus
Well organized – a natural ability to be organized in how you think, communicate and conduct your work
You drive for results and demonstrate the ability to develop solutions. You love what you do, and it shows
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
A curious mindset that allows you to constantly learn and challenge the status quo
This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Moderna’s site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work
