Requirements
- At least two years of experience in a parts department or warehouse environment (automotive preferred)
- High School diploma or and equivalent education experience
- Prior SAP experience preferred
- Proven computer skills especially with work management systems
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment
- Previous forklift experience
- Ability to stand 8-12 hours per day and lift 50 lbs
- Required to walk; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel and crouch
- Required to communicate via telephone and/or e-mail
- Ability to view, read, and interpret documents such as SOPs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to perform all duties in a working environment that may contain dust, high noise levels, hot and cold weather
- Possibly may travel about 10%
Responsibilities
- Work with Parts Lead and Engineering to assist in forecasting demand for parts and shop supples
- Order, receive, stock and transfer parts and materials as needed to support end-to-end remanufacturing operations
- Understand and utilize standard work procedures
- Support general material handling request from leadership and team members
- Update systematic and physical locations with new part revisions
- Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders
- Perform quality checks on stored inventory and discard inventory that does not meet the company's standards
- Operate several types of powered equipment (forklift, stock chaser, etc.)
- Participate in group efforts to foster an environment based on continuous improvements
- Participate in 5S audits and post-audit meetings
- Act as a liaison to support and coordinate the shipping needs for Remanufacturing
- Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the position
