Requirements
- Ten years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required, or five additional years of System Administrator experience may be substituted.
- DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level II or higher is required.
- An active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with an appropriate current polygraph is required.
- Ability to receive privileged access rights is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology systems.
- Provide Tier 1 help desk problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Manage the daily activities of configuring and operating Information Technology systems.
- Assist users in accessing and using Information Technology systems.
- Provide Tier 1 help desk and Tier 2 escalation problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Support Information Technology systems through day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client, server, storage, network, and mobile devices.
- Support escalation and communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Troubleshoot Information Technology systems in depth.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Support the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install and load operating system software, troubleshoot systems, maintain system integrity, configure network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
