Requirements
  • A relevant bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or administration.
  • At least three years of relevant experience or training in the field.

Responsibilities
  • Understand the interdependencies within the manufacturing environment and with other groups.
  • Identify and optimize cell bottlenecks to ensure adherence to the overall production plan and schedule.
  • Monitor scheduling plans daily and make necessary adjustments.
  • Act as a resource for customer service, engineering, project management, and manufacturing cells.
  • Recommend staff adjustments or production leveling according to the horizontal plan, including workload versus capacity.
  • Analyze material-input availability, adjust the workload release plan accordingly, and collaborate with purchasing to mitigate impacts on the production plan.
  • Analyze new requirements of the master plan and make necessary changes.
  • Work closely with engineering groups and project planners to meet deadlines.
  • Promote clear communication between parties and ensure follow-ups.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to generate database reports using SQL, Visual Basic for Applications, Power Query Language M, and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with an integrated management system (enterprise resource planning), preferably Oracle.

CAE reports Q1 revenue of $1.17B, up 6.8% year-over-year, maintains fiscal 2027 outlook

CAE reported first quarter fiscal 2027 results with revenue of $1,173.4 million, up 6.8% year-over-year from $1,098.6 million. Earnings per share declined to $0.10 from $0.18 in the prior year, whilst adjusted EPS remained flat at $0.26. The Montreal-based company generated free cash flow of $104.0 million and maintained a net debt-to-adjusted EBITDA ratio of 2.27x. Civil Aviation revenue rose 5.6% to $641.6 million, though profitability decreased. Defence and Security revenue increased 8.3% to $531.8 million with continued margin expansion. CAE's transformation plan progressed during the quarter, including a review of strategic alternatives for Flightscape and plans to close four to six Civil training centres. The company targets $125 million to $150 million in annual transformation run-rate savings by fiscal 2030. Management maintained its unchanged fiscal 2027 outlook.
