Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of Electrical and Digital Engineering
  • Experience Using Electrical Design SW
  • Experience with using Electrical Equipment for Testing Circuitry in a Lab Environment
  • Must be a regular, full-time college student and be registered and eligible to participate in the cooperative education or internship program
  • Must have completed a minimum of four semesters or two years of study
  • Must be pursuing a degree in an applicable course of study relevant to Electrical Engineering
  • Must be a citizen of the United States
  • Preferred to maintain an overall 3.0 grade point average or better
Responsibilities
  • Assisting a Senior Electrical Engineering Mentor in designing, building, and testing electrical equipment involved in Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) instrumentation
  • Using design tools to assist in the development of digital and power circuitry
  • Breadboard assembly and handling circuitry in an ESD sensitive environment
  • Using oscilloscopes, voltmeters, signal generators, power supplies, and other equipment to power and validate circuit responses
  • Assimilating data using MS Excel
  • Assisting in writing technical docs like user instructions or test procedures
