Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject-matter procurement expert for assigned goods and services.
  • Research suppliers using a variety of usual and unusual sources.
  • Confer with suppliers to obtain product or service information, including price, availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Perform complex price analysis involving multiple variables.
  • Use analysis, forecasting, problem solving, and quality improvement to develop strategies for dynamic market conditions.
  • Develop procurement and negotiation strategies based on multiple complex variables.
  • Negotiate price, availability, transportation, and delivery schedules.
  • Make negotiation decisions in high-volatility situations based on multiple market variables and limited guidelines for price and availability.
  • Analyze and incorporate specific market data into negotiations, strategies, and plans related to procured goods and services.
  • Communicate and present strategies, plans, and cost impacts to upper management.
  • Attend industry trade shows and conferences.
  • Perform all functions in accordance with corporate Procurement Policy.

Royal Caribbean completes $1.25B bond offering to refinance debt

Royal Caribbean Group has completed a registered public offering of $1.25 billion in senior unsecured notes due 2034. The notes, which carry a 5.550% interest rate, will mature on 20 January 2034 unless redeemed earlier. The cruise operator plans to use the net proceeds primarily to repay part of its outstanding floating rate term loan facilities. Any remaining funds will go towards repaying or refinancing other existing debt. BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BofA Securities, Inc., and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. served as lead book-running managers for the offering. The notes were sold pursuant to an automatic shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 29 February 2024. Royal Caribbean Group operates 71 ships across three wholly owned brands.
