Impact
As an Engineering Manager working in Birmingham you will lead a team focused on operating and providing support for IT systems and platforms dedicated to endpoint deployment, MDM and SSO operations, while identifying opportunities to better leverage technology across the Shipt environment.
Every day you will manage a team of 4-6 individuals located in Birmingham and at our remote Headquarters in SF and MN. While no day will look the same, you will spend 60% of your time managing the team and 40% of your time developing automations, leveraging reporting to determine process improvements, and supporting IT systems. The core team activities include procurement of all hardware and accessories, asset management, onboarding/offboarding employees, supporting all office conference rooms and A/V systems, and providing technical support for any issues or questions related to account access or endpoints. You will work heavily with Google Workspace, Okta, Zoom administration, JAMF, ServiceNow and Salesforce. In this role you will be responsible for developing systems which lead to improved process efficiency and minimizing manual intervention.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
5+ years leading or managing an IT Helpdesk or a Tier 1 / Tier 2 support team
Experience with planning, researching and developing policies, standards, and procedures.
Experience with endpoint security and IAM best practices.
2+ years Automation or SaaS tool deployment experience.
Experience developing, implementing and training on High-code or Low-code applications.
Ability to coach, mentor, and lead team members and foster a learning and growing environment.
Experience with technical change management and educating staff members on IT best practices or common enterprise system functionality.
Experience providing IT support to high level executives.
Work Arrangement:
Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections.
