Responsibilities
  • Source and develop high-net-worth client relationships through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach.
  • Steer the administration of clients' wealth and trust accounts by serving as a trusted partner.
  • Lead high-performance service delivery to clients by coordinating the team delivering services.
  • Manage and expand high-profile client relationships.
  • Provide proactive, solution-oriented planning for clients and coordinate wealth-strategy planning goals and objectives.
  • Lead a proactive, high-touch communication plan for all clients.
  • Provide wealth-management subject-matter expertise.
  • Participate in and attend meetings and functions as assigned.
  • Create and lead presentations to external and internal centers of influence on estate-planning techniques for ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
  • Serve as the primary driver of new trust relationships for the market.
  • Coordinate and assign team members for new trust relationships and transition those accounts to the assigned team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Having one or more of the following credentials is preferred: Master of Business Administration, Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Financial Planner, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, or Juris Doctor.
  • Having supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
  • Having at least five years of demonstrated sales experience is preferred.
  • Being active in community and professional organizations and being considered a community leader is preferred.
  • Having experience drafting complex estate plans for ultra-high-net-worth individuals is preferred.

UMB Financial reports $271.8M Q2 net income with 12.6% annualised loan growth and 16.3% dividend increase

UMB Financial reported Q2 net income of $271.8 million, or $3.56 per diluted share, driven by strong loan growth, higher fee income and investment gains. The company achieved an operating return on tangible common equity of 20.3%. Average loans rose at a 12.6% annualised rate from Q1, with commercial and industrial loans growing nearly 22%. CEO Mariner Kemper attributed the expansion to market-share gains across regions and sectors. Credit quality remained solid, with net charge-offs at 16 basis points of average loans whilst nonperforming loans improved to 31 basis points from 38 basis points in Q1.
