Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient-level benefits verifications for major medical and pharmacy benefit plans.
  • Complete template forms providing patient-level benefits coverage determination summaries.
  • Coordinate prior authorizations according to payer guidelines and applicable law, regulation, or guidance.
  • Review patient assistance enrollment forms and supporting documentation to assess eligibility under standard operating procedures and program guidelines.
  • Determine patient eligibility according to program qualification criteria.
  • Communicate patient eligibility to patients, healthcare providers, and consignment pharmacies.
  • Answer and assist inbound callers through resolution using frequently asked questions or warm transfers.
  • Listen to customers, assess their needs, and respond with patience and courtesy.
  • Review and identify missing or incorrect information in program service requests and applications.
  • Report adverse events and product complaint inquiries according to standard operating procedures and good manufacturer practices.
  • Provide timely feedback about service failures and customer concerns.
  • Use the PharmaCord Lynk internal technology platform to complete claims processing and maintain workflows.
  • Communicate with medical practice accounts and sales representatives about case status.
  • Provide consultative services to help overcome barriers to patients receiving paid therapy.
  • Meet training deadlines for corporate policies and procedures.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures consistently.
  • Perform additional assigned tasks or projects.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Six months of customer service, payer benefits, reimbursement, prior authorization, healthcare industry, or healthcare-related certification, license, or equivalent coursework experience.
  • Bilingual ability.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.
  • Typing at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
