Requirements
  • A Ph.D. in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related field is required; ABD candidates are acceptable with expected completion by December 2026.
  • A strong commitment to undergraduate education and the use of engaging pedagogies is required.
  • The ability to teach introductory undergraduate courses in electrical engineering is required.
  • The ability to develop and teach undergraduate courses in computer engineering is required.
  • The ability to teach distance courses as needed is required.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and undergraduate research is required.
  • The ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences is required.
  • A strong commitment to undergraduate education and student success is required.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and teach undergraduate courses in computer engineering and related subjects.
  • Conduct research and seek extramural funding.
  • Develop curriculum.
  • Advise students and student organizations.
  • Participate in outreach, including visits to industry and recruiting local students.
  • Participate in department, college, and university service committees.
  • Teach some courses using alternative delivery methods, including distance education.
Desired Qualifications
  • Expertise or experience in high-performance GPU/TPU computing, machine learning, cybersecurity, Internet of Things, or wearable systems is particularly encouraged.
