Manager of automation team and services to NA
About the role
As Manager NA Automation you will play an integral part in the development of the automation journey by leading the automation team as part of an engineering hub, providing automation service to the North American region.
Key responsibilities
Provide leadership to the automation team for NA (North America) and ensure performance, competence and development is actively managed.
Manage automation resources to ensure execution of all planned and preventative automation projects in compliance with standards, safety, costs and quality.
Develop and implement strategies to maintain NA sites automation systems. Including knowledge retention, best available technology, obsolescence, lifecycle, disaster recovery and cyber security.
Provide automation site support for sites across NA.
What you’ll need to apply
·Qualified in Control Engineering or equivalent.
·Have experience in a leadership role working in a Chemical / Petrochemical / Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
·A good understanding of production manufacturing processes including instrumentation and control philosophy.
·Have experience of design, procurement and implementation of control systems.
·Experience of leading automation projects including development and implementation of automation concepts.
·A strong background in control systems, architecture and networks
·Knowledge of the latest cyber security guidelines and regulations.
Desirable:
·Emerson DeltaV knowledge
·Cyber security trained
