Physician Assistant - Medical ICU Outreach Consult Service - Per Diem - Night/Day - Cornell Campus

As an institution, we are seeking an earnest & empathetic PA to provide care for our most critically ill patients. You will join a robust team evaluating new ICU consults, following up on prior ICU consults on the medicine floors, and gaining hands-on experience in the ICU. Led by world class Medical Intensivists, you will attain a breadth of knowledge to apply in your daily patient interactions. 

As an integral part of the ICU team, some of your responsibilities include:

• Evaluating, stabilizing, and triaging decompensating patients in the Emergency Department and inpatient units 

• Admitting patients to the Medical ICU and taking part in their continued care 

• Performing procedures that are necessary for ongoing assessment and treatment 

• Participating in performance improvement and educational activities

You will work with your fellow ICU colleagues to provide the highest level of care. Work Shift

• At least 2 shifts a month 

Preferred Criteria

• New graduate PAs with strong Internal Medicine and/or critical care experience

• Experienced PAs with strong Internal Medicine and/or ICU experience

Required Criteria

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies

• NYS licensure

• NCCPA certification

• BLS/ACLS certification 

• DEA certification
