Haworth, a global furniture manufacturer, has acquired a majority stake in Tayco, a Toronto-based office furniture and casegoods manufacturer. The deal strengthens Haworth's Canadian presence and manufacturing capabilities after over 50 years operating in the country. Founded in 1975, Tayco will continue operating independently under president Bill Melnik and its senior management team, maintaining existing customer relationships and dealer partnerships.
