Job Description
Procore Technologies is opening up a brand new executive role to guide our sales team with a Vice President, Up-Market Sales. We are looking for a seasoned sales leader with a successful track record operating within a SaaS organization with $1B+ in annual recruiting revenue. This is a pivotal role for Procore, where the impact of your work will align our sales strategy with Procore’s 3-year corporate strategy launching this year.
Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in the design and implementation of a new strategy framework to accelerate revenue growth within the high-value global strategic and enterprise segments of the business. The contributions of your work will have an immediate impact on the sales strategy and financial success.
Reporting directly to the SVP of Global Sales, you will collaborate with key stakeholders from Revenue, Finance, Operations, Product and Strategy, ensuring a globally consistent, yet locally relevant approach that fosters robust customer relationships. This can be a remote position with travel to our Carpinteria and Austin offices, as well as prospects and clients.
Key Priorities
Strategic Vision and Execution:
In partnership with sales leadership, marketing, product and strategy; develop, implement, and execute a visionary strategy to consistently acquire and expand the customer base across Enterprise accounts in North America and Strategic accounts globally
Establish and embed operational rigor within the sales organization to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainable growth
Team Leadership and Management:
Build and lead a high-performing strategic sales organization, overseeing a cross-functional team focused on meeting or exceeding revenue targets
Inspire and mentor a team of 70+ sellers, including AVPs, Directors, Managers, and Reps, fostering career development and excellence in execution
Revenue Accountability and Guidance:
Ensure accountability for providing consistent and accurate revenue guidance to the SVP of Global Sales and executive leadership
Strategic Go-to-Market Improvements:
Refine and enhance current go-to-market sales strategies by leveraging metrics, analyzing business trends, and collaborating with key team members
Talent and Performance Management:
Lead a thorough talent and performance management initiative aimed at fostering a culture of high performance, inclusivity, and belonging within the team
Promote a continuous learning environment to enhance the agility and adaptability of the sales team in response to dynamic market conditions
What we are looking for:
Education & Experience:
BA/BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree highly desirable
10+ years of progressive sales leadership responsibility, managing both direct and indirect revenue
Proven experience in creating, building, scaling, and leading a strategic sales function within a complex SaaS company
SaaS Expertise:
Successful track record operating within a SaaS organization with $1Bn+ annual recurring revenues
Leadership and Communication:
Influential thinker and communicator, serving as a thought leader in SaaS revenue, capable of gaining acceptance in diverse situations
Exemplary communication and presentation skills, both within and outside of Procore
Integrity and Cultural Awareness:
Demonstrated high levels of integrity, initiative, honesty, and leadership
Experience in a multicultural environment is desired
