Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management (SAP MM Module)
- Maintain accurate stock levels of spare parts using SAP.
- Monitor inventory turnover and minimize excess or obsolete stock.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
Stock Control & Replenishment
- Generate purchase requisitions or stock transfer orders in SAP.
- Track incoming and outgoing spare parts, ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
- Ensure minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained based on usage patterns.
Receiving and Issuing Materials
- Oversee the receiving process to ensure all incoming goods are checked and properly recorded in SAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate issuance of spare parts to maintenance or production teams.
Data Accuracy & System Maintenance
- Update material master data, bin locations, and batch information in SAP.
- Resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and SAP records.
Compliance & Safety
- Enforce safety regulations and proper storage procedures for parts and materials.
- Ensure compliance with ISO or internal audit requirements.
Team Leadership
- Supervise stockroom staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
- Train team members on SAP transactions and inventory processes.
Reporting & KPIs
- Generate SAP reports (e.g., stock aging, material movement, consumption).
- Monitor KPIs such as stock accuracy, picking time, and inventory turns.
Coordination with Maintenance & Procurement Teams
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure critical spare parts are always available.
- Work closely with procurement to expedite urgent or long lead-time parts.
- Oversee timely issuance of materials for maintenance-generated work orders, ensuring parts are available when needed to avoid equipment downtime.
Professional Experience:
- 5 years of experience managing spare parts inventory
- Manage daily operations of two spare parts stockrooms, overseeing inventory valued at 25 million/USD using SAP MM.
- Supervise a team of 4 warehouse associates, assigning tasks, training on SAP processes, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate stock levels for over 20K spare parts through regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and SAP stock reconciliation.
- Process goods receipts, issues, and internal transfers via SAP transactions (MB1C, MIGO, MB51, etc.), maintaining real-time inventory visibility.
- Develop and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize stock discrepancies and prevent obsolescence.
- Collaborate with maintenance, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure critical parts availability and rapid response to breakdowns.
- Generate and analyze SAP reports to monitor inventory performance, aging stock, and consumption trends.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduced stock inaccuracies and improve service levels to internal customers.
Education and specialized skills profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
- Proficient in SAP MM (Materials Management Module)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, formulas, data analysis)
- Inventory control & stock reconciliation.
- Spare parts lifecycle and cataloging
- Cycle counting & physical inventory processes.
- Goods receipt and issue transactions (e.g., MIGO, MB1C)

- This is a full-time position, and general hours of work between 8:00 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. Working time may vary. This position may regularly require extended hours, night shift and or weekend work as well
