Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Literate in PC software, a working knowledge of CAD, and other computer software used to complete design assignments
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
  • Completing a variety of assignments such as field installation observations, engineering, tracking contractor submittals, quality assurance, and certifying work completed
  • Reviewing small and portions of larger contractor drawing submittals and assisting in performing technical bid analyses
  • Review specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents and ensure contractor is building in accordance with those referenced
  • Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures
  • Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies. Becomes familiar with various standards and codes relevant to project work
  • Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
