Requirements
  • Must possess 3+ years of management experience in the food and beverage division of a hotel and/or resort.
  • Have 3+ years of experience hiring and developing talent.
  • Have excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; some college is preferred.
  • Be proficient in point-of-sale systems, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Have strong organizational management and analytical skills.
  • Be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Be effective in handling workplace problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems.
  • Be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying issues raised by coworkers and guests.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the daily food and beverage operations of an assigned dining venue, overseeing front-of-house operations and partnering with the Executive Chef on back-of-house operational excellence.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences through quality products, outstanding service execution, and adherence to resort and brand standards.
  • Partner with the Director of Food and Beverage on strategic planning, food and beverage offerings, departmental initiatives, long-term business objectives, and profit and loss management.
  • Provide leadership and support for all outlets while working directly with managers and supervisors.
  • Assist with food and beverage department activities to maintain and improve productivity, food quality, service, creativity, and merchandising, increasing volume, sales, and profit.
  • Enforce policies and operating schedules for all restaurants and bars to achieve productive and profitable results.
  • Achieve predetermined profit and productivity objectives and standards for food, service, sanitation, creativity, merchandising, and promotions.
  • Coordinate testing and experimental projects to upgrade products and procedures.
  • Review and evaluate guest satisfaction and experience daily.
  • Review prices, sources of supply, food and beverage sales trends, and inventories.
  • Monitor and control food, beverage, labor, and related costs.
  • Establish purchasing and receiving procedures with the Purchasing Department.
  • Uphold food and beverage concepts.
  • Assist in developing the yearly budget.
  • Develop monthly and weekly forecasts.
  • Monitor department payroll.
  • Lead daily staff stand-up meetings.
  • Attend biweekly management meetings.
  • Develop and revise department standard operating procedures as needed.
  • Ensure training and certifications remain up to date.
  • Administer property policies fairly and consistently and complete disciplinary procedures and documentation according to company standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals with direct reports.
  • Communicate and execute departmental and property emergency procedures.
  • Recruit food and beverage team members.
  • Ensure new hires participate in the department orientation program and receive appropriate training.
  • Set goals and expectations for direct reports through the performance review process and hold staff accountable for successful performance.
  • Provide ongoing training so employees understand guest expectations.
