Requirements
  • The candidate must be physically located in the United States and authorized to work there without sponsorship.
  • At least 10 years of experience in software architecture and enterprise solution design is required.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, including EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, Cognito, OpenSearch, S3, QuickSight, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and Glue, is required.
  • Strong programming skills in TypeScript, Python, and Node.js are required.
  • Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, event-driven systems, microservices, and serverless computing is required.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices is required.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably using CloudFormation or similar tools, is required.
  • The candidate must hold an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification, or an Associate certification with significant enterprise experience.
  • The candidate must be able to lead discussions and influence decisions at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Architect end-to-end cloud solutions using AWS for enterprise-grade applications, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Lead the design and development of solutions using AWS services including EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, Cognito, OpenSearch, S3, QuickSight, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and Glue.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, engineers, and business leaders to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to engineering teams.
  • Drive best practices in infrastructure as code, continuous integration and continuous delivery, and automation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, especially HIPAA, HITRUST, and U.S. healthcare data requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve solution delivery and reliability.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience with U.S. healthcare information technology systems or healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
  • Experience with data analytics tools and pipelines within AWS, such as QuickSight and Glue.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes, including continuous integration and continuous delivery, monitoring, and containerization.
