Responsibilities
  • Install, rebuild, configure, maintain, administer, and document UNIX and Linux systems, software, systems-related products, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks on systems for proactive monitoring, such as space usage, deleting log files, dump files, and error-correcting.
  • Create, document, and implement repeatable processes to install, test, upgrade, maintain, and patch system environments and software.
  • Develop, recommend, document, implement, and maintain system management policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Create, modify, delete, and document user accounts.
  • Complete and maintain DISA STIGs
  • Have the desire and aptitude for learning and rapidly mastering new applications and technology.
  • Maintain daily operation and incident resolution of virtual machines, operating systems, and applications to provide optimum performance and system availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related incidents detected during monitoring, by other technical teams, and by users.
  • Provide Tier 2 or 3 support in an enterprise-level, globally distributed environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree, with three (3+) years of relevant IT experience.
  • Experience with enterprise technologies such as Forcepoint Firewall and TTCR/HSG, Rubrik backup solutions, Aruba Mobility Controller, VMware with vSAN, and security tools including PKI, DHUMA, THULE, and Splunk.
  • Experience providing quality service and support for mission-critical systems and VIP end users.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
