Requirements
  • Hold a minimum of a Diploma Level 5 in Counselling or equivalent (which involved completing 100 hours in an organizational placement).
  • A minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience working with clients.
  • Have completed minimum 450 clinical hours (Not assessment hours).
  • Registered membership with a professional association such as IACP or equivalent.
  • Previous assessment and short-term counselling experience.
  • Experience working in a brief solution focused counselling model together with telephone/video counselling experience.
  • Strong risk assessment skills with regards to Child Welfare/Safety concerns, Suicide/Self-Harm, Substance Abuse etc.
  • Good clinical judgement and understanding of your responsibilities regarding confidentiality; strong work ethic and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, collaboration, cultural competency, interpersonal, self-care, time management and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams, One Note, SoftPhone etc.).
Responsibilities
  • Provide assessments and short-term counselling using a brief solution focused model.
  • Refer clients to appropriate internal and external resources as required.
  • Complete detailed case notes for all clients and submission of files as per clinical policy.
  • Meet objectives as defined by Clinical Management.
  • Undertake E-Learning modules and trainings on a regular basis.
  • Use of computer systems, when required, for booking client appointments, retrieving relevant organizational information.
  • Must keep up to date on relevant regulatory and legislative developments.
  • Participate in monthly one to one with clinical supervisor.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings including professional development opportunities, both internal and externally as appropriate.
  • Attending regular external supervision, with a qualified clinical supervisor.

TELUS Launches $1.6 Billion Junior Subordinated Note Offering

TELUS has announced the pricing of $1.6 billion in fixed-to-fixed rate junior subordinated notes through a syndicate of agents. These notes, issued in two series with a 30.25-year maturity, are intended to help the company repay outstanding debts and support general corporate purposes. The Series CAR notes have an initial yield of 6.25% and the Series CAS notes have an initial yield of 6.75%, with both series having mechanisms to reset interest rates every five years.
