Acron Technologies acquires Alereon, Inc., expanding its advanced defense capabilities.

Acron Technologies acquires Alereon, Inc., expanding its advanced defense capabilities. PR Newswire Today at 5:32am PDT PR Newswire ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 14, 2026 ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Acron Technologies, a portfolio company of TJC, L.P., today announced the acquisition of Alereon, Inc., a fabless semiconductor company focused on ultra-wideband (UWB) solutions for the defense electronics market. Alereon is the official provider of the U.S. government's Intra-Soldier Wireless (ISW) solutions. The acquisition strengthens Acron Technologies' rapidly growing defense technologies portfolio by adding personal area networking for real-time, low-power, high-bandwidth communications. As the government pushes forward to remove additional cables, offer lower power, and provide instant connectivity for warfighters on the ground, ISW solutions are being rolled out across many platforms. Alereon's NIST and NSA-certified modules allow for quick integration into mission-critical applications, while the commercial solutions are gaining international acceptance as a standard for short-range, reliable video. Alereon's modules feature superior anti-jamming technology, preventing it from being compromised in virtually any environment. UWB signals can provide invisibility while still allowing squad connectivity without the need for cables - all by transmitting below the noise floor. Soldiers can maintain a bubble of anonymity while still leveraging high-data rate, low-power connections. By operating across 8GHz of bandwidth, Alereon radios can support more than 30 simultaneous networks each with dozens of devices. Acron Technologies brings together complementary technologies across its portfolio. The company is committed to investing in industry leaders that deliver innovative, mission-critical technologies. This acquisition underscores Acron Technologies' strategy to expand its defense technology capabilities through targeted investments in companies offering innovative resilient communications, assured positioning, navigation, and timing (APNT), advanced sensing and intelligence, and integrated mission systems. Alereon will retain its existing management, engineering, and sales organization, along with product suite and brand identity. For more information about the company, visit https://www.alereon.com. About Acron Technologies Acron Technologies' integrated capabilities are built around two core markets: Aerospace and Defense. Together, they unify the strengths of the group to deliver advanced technologies that enhance performance, safety, and mission readiness. From elevating commercial and special-mission aviation, to equipping defense operators with high-reliability systems, to providing life-saving tools for search-and-rescue missions, its portfolio is designed to meet the world's most demanding operational challenges with precision and reliability. About Alereon Alereon is the worldwide leader in high data-rate ultrawideband (UWB) wireless solutions. Offering low latency, real-time video in a secure and reliable system, Alereon is the official provider of the government's Intra-Soldier Wireless (ISW) solution. Acron Aviation enables culture change by embedding train-the-trainer CRM program within Centrum Air.

Acron Aviation enables culture change by embedding train-the-trainer CRM program within Centrum Air. March 31 2026 Acron Aviation has successfully delivered a comprehensive train-the-trainer program for Centrum Air, equipping the airline's internal training team with the expertise required to independently deliver crew resource management (CRM) training to its pilots. The initiative represents a significant step forward in enabling culture change within Centrum Air, providing its instructors with the skills, tools, and knowledge to deliver CRM training, including Human Factors through a sustainable, in-house model. Acron Aviation's dedicated training team, experts in CRM, designed and developed the tailored courseware, delivered a series of train-the-trainer workshops, and supported the initial roll-out alongside Centrum Air's newly qualified instructors. This collaborative approach ensures both immediate operational readiness and long-term training resilience. David Coward, SVP and GM, Training Services, at Acron Aviation, said: "Empowering airlines to build their own training capability is central to our philosophy of creating lasting value for our customers. By equipping Centrum Air's team to independently deliver CRM training, we are not only enhancing operational safety and efficiency today but also supporting their long-term growth ambitions." "This program reflects our commitment to building ongoing partnerships, working side-by-side with our customers to develop sustainable solutions that strengthen their organization for years to come." David Coward SVP and GM, Training Services The benefits to Centrum Air extend beyond operational efficiency. By embedding CRM principles deeply into its safety culture, the airline is strengthening pilot performance, supporting its growth trajectory, and advancing its application for European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulatory approval - an accreditation that requires robust CRM practices. Eldar Khamdeev, Director Flight Operations, LLC My Freighter / Centrum Air, said: "This foundational approach positions Centrum Air as innovators, being the only airline in region with the capability to independently conduct CRM training. The benefits of upskilling our trainers, enhancing pilot capabilities and reducing reliance on external providers will only strengthen the airline's safety culture." This milestone further reinforces the growing partnership between the two organizations. Centrum Air pilots already complete their Type Rating training at Acron Aviation's London Training Center, and with Acron Aviation maintaining oversight of CRM standards, the collaboration continues to build long-term value for both companies.
