Evidation collects person-generated health data from everyday activities with explicit user consent and uses it to create real-world health insights, personalized programs, and research opportunities for healthcare providers, researchers, and organizations. Users opt in to share their data for specific studies, and Evidation analyzes and aggregates it to support tailored health programs. Unlike some competitors, Evidation centers consent and builds a large, diverse real-world dataset by linking a network of providers, researchers, and programs rather than simply selling raw data. Its goal is to improve health outcomes by turning consented PGHD into actionable insights and proactive health initiatives.

Evidation launches dermatology cohort showing 70% of acne and psoriasis patients underrepresented in healthcare data

Evidation has launched an interactive dermatology cohort comprising over 100,000 individuals with chronic skin conditions to study treatment journeys beyond traditional clinical settings. The platform combines participant-captured images, symptom tracking, patient-reported data, medication use, clinical records and wearable data. Preliminary survey results from 78,000 individuals reveal significant healthcare gaps. Among respondents, 80% of those with acne and 65% of those with psoriasis diagnosis did not consult specialists in the past year. Many rely on over-the-counter treatments or no treatment at all, with approximately 70% of acne and psoriasis patients potentially underrepresented in traditional healthcare data. The cohort aims to capture the full continuum of dermatological care, including self-directed treatment, over-the-counter products and telehealth platforms rarely documented in electronic health records or claims data.
