Requirements
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in contingent workforce program management, human resources management, or strategic sourcing in a professional services category.
  • At least 2 years of in-house contingent workforce program management experience.
  • Working knowledge of contingent worker classifications, including staff augmentation, professional services, outsourced, business process outsourcing, recruitment process outsourcing, gig, and independent contractors.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with internal teams and stakeholders across NAMER, EMEAL, and APAC in a geographically dispersed team.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing multiple global projects.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business, priorities, and evolving needs to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and shape contingent workforce strategies that enable the business to achieve its goals.
  • Build and continuously evolve the APAC contingent workforce program strategy in partnership with the contingent workforce business partner community so it is scalable, visible, and provides the right level of support to key stakeholders.
  • Establish a visible and trusted presence with managers, leaders, and cross-functional partners while consulting, influencing, and managing contingent workforce matters.
  • Conduct business reviews with top program users of all types of contingent workers, including outsourced service providers, independent contractors, contractors, and professional services providers.
  • Drive regional program and global project initiatives.
  • Develop contingent workforce e-learning content for end users and organizational training.
  • Drive adoption and awareness of the contingent workforce brand and reinforce its mission.
  • Facilitate resolution of contingent workforce relations issues, accommodation requests, investigations, and other human resources issues for contingent workers.
  • Deliver business insights and recommendations based on labor-market and data-driven analysis to the business.
  • Proactively identify areas of risk and partner with Programs, Legal, and Policy teams to drive solutions that mitigate risks.
  • Partner with internal communications and security teams on communications that affect contingent workers and the supplier community.

  • Extensive experience with outsourcing and offshoring, including vendor management, vendor transitions, statement-of-work development, contracting, and changing pricing models.
  • Leadership, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills with the executive presence to build credibility, contribute a clear point of view, and be recognized as a valued strategic partner.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to process large amounts of data to drive business strategies and decisions.
  • Presentation skills across various levels of senior management.
  • Consultative approach, communication, strategic thinking, and influencing skills.

LinkedIn shuts Israel office, lays off nearly all 50 staff after $80M Oribi acquisition

LinkedIn is closing its Tel Aviv development centre and laying off nearly all of its roughly 50 employees. A small number will remain temporarily to handle ongoing business activities. The Microsoft-owned company opened the office in 2022 after acquiring Oribi, an Israel-based analytics startup founded by Iris Shoor, for an estimated $80 million to $90 million. At the time, LinkedIn said Oribi's technology would improve campaign attribution and measure website conversions. A LinkedIn spokesperson said the company is proposing changes to some roles to focus its teams on top priorities. The closure comes as Microsoft cuts costs, including a recent move to lay off 9,000 employees, though available information does not directly tie the Israel layoffs to broader restructuring.

LinkedIn launches paid advice sessions for premium users to monetise expertise

LinkedIn is rolling out a new feature for premium business subscribers that allows them to offer paid one-to-one advice sessions directly from their profiles. The tool, called Advice Sessions, enables followers to book and pay for consultations without leaving the platform. Derek Notman, founder of Intrepid Wealth Partners, said the feature could be particularly valuable for financial advisers seeking growth through new client connections. "It allows me to offer whatever services I want and get paid for it," Notman said. The launch comes as North American wealth managers have enjoyed annual growth rates of about 10% in assets under management over the past decade, though only 30% of that growth was organic, with the rest mainly attributable to market performance.

Microsoft's $20B ad business gets new leader as AI reshapes advertising landscape

Microsoft has unified its advertising businesses under SVP Matt Derella, who now oversees both Microsoft Advertising and LinkedIn Ads. Adobe and LinkedIn are launching a free "AI Essentials for Marketers" programme to address a widening skills gap in the marketing industry.
