Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years working on compensation and/or benefits programs
  • Proven experience building and leading a Total Rewards team through a sustained, high-growth period
  • Strong aptitude for understanding business needs and building programs to meet those business objectives
  • Experience with implementing, iterating, and scaling compensation programs based on the changing needs of the business and seniority levels
  • Expert knowledge of compensation and benefits principles and techniques
  • Experience designing executive compensation programs and articulate the company's compensation philosophy
  • Big analytical muscles to dive into the data to have evidence-based discussions and decision-making
  • Comfortable presenting, articulating strategy and points of view with all levels of the organization
  • Hungry to succeed and energized by the work of trying new and creative approaches to achieve our objectives

  • Experience managing compensation in a publicly traded company as well as experience in a high-growth, pre-IPO environment preferred
  • Experience with international compensation strategies in foreign tech labor markets preferred
Responsibilities
  • Define the strategy for Compensation at the company
  • Design programs for base, variable and spot rewards programs that align with the strategy and promote attraction and retention of talent
  • Lead a team that will implement Rippling's programs in the US, India, Canada and in our remote markets
  • Lead all compensation planning events including strategic planning, project management, and training rollouts
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Recruiters, Hiring Managers, Finance, Stock Administration and Executives on budgets, pay decisions, policy, and job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions for specific compensation-related programs
  • Partner with the HR Business Partners to execute our annual focal event, and Q3 promotion cycles
  • Manage regular market and ad-hoc analyses of base pay, variable pay, equity, long term incentives, and benefits to ensure market competitiveness
  • Track compensation and benefits benchmarking data and develop recommendations for updates to salary structures
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations
  • Be the HR lead for any pre-IPO activities that may arise
