Responsibilities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of acquired companies by combining diligence information with further discovery of practices and processes to create customized, effective, and efficient transition plans.
  • Transform diligence-phase forecasts into budgets following the company's chart of accounts and accounting methodologies for input into the enterprise resource planning system.
  • Work across finance and payroll teams to integrate payroll and benefits, banking, accounts payable, and revenue tracking.
  • Provide financial reporting during the integration period, including variance analysis, quarterly forecasts, and annual budget updates.
  • Calculate post-close transaction payments, including earnouts and working capital audits or analyses.
  • Manage or execute onboarding workstreams across information technology, human resources, enablement, legal and compliance, facilities, and other relevant areas, while supporting the assigned project lead.
  • Prepare or deliver timely, accurate, clear, concise, and consistent integration project progress updates to principals of acquired organizations and internal stakeholders.
  • Keep the project management system up to date for assigned projects.
  • Resolve ad hoc challenges and obstacles to support a positive experience for principals and employees of acquired organizations.
  • Identify and surface process-improvement opportunities across integration activities.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented culture that supports team goal attainment and professional development.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three to five years of experience in accounting and finance roles of increasing responsibility, preferably in financial planning and analysis.
  • Experience in financial due diligence or transaction advisory; mergers and acquisitions experience is an asset.
  • Experience using Workday is considered a strong asset.
  • Completion or near completion of a CPA designation is required.
  • French language proficiency would be an asset.
