  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree or certifications like CPSM, APICS, or CPIM preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or commodity management, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier relationship management and contract negotiations
  • In-depth knowledge of commodity markets, pricing, and global sourcing strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with supply chain management software (ERP, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Experience in strategic sourcing and category management
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with global supply chain logistics and trade regulations
Responsibilities
  • Lead sourcing and procurement activities for assigned commodity groups, including raw materials, components, or services
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply chains
  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies and continuous improvement programs
  • Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with suppliers to optimize cost structures while maintaining quality standards
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, high-quality standards, and continuous improvement in performance
  • Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when necessary
  • Work closely with inventory and logistics teams to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained for materials and components
  • Minimize excess inventory and reduce supply chain bottlenecks
  • Identify and manage risks within the supply chain, including supply disruptions, price volatility, and supplier reliability
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions
  • Work closely with product development, engineering, operations, and finance teams to align commodity strategies with organizational goals
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and supply chain dynamics to anticipate changes in the marketplace
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on market intelligence
  • Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and sustainability objectives
  • Support initiatives related to ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards on commodity performance, supplier status, cost savings, and market conditions for senior leadership and stakeholders
