Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the accounting department of the business unit.
  • Train, develop, and conduct performance reviews of subordinate staff.
  • Estimate personnel needs, assign work, meet completion dates, and interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies.
  • Supervise and coordinate all accounting activities for ProAct, including development, preparation, analysis, interpretation, and maintenance of corporate accounting records and financial reports.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Manage the biweekly invoicing process through the distribution of invoices.
  • Partner with the Corporate Accounts Payable team to ensure timely processing of uploads and payment requests.
  • Prepare monthly general ledger entries and account reconciliations for review by the Accounting Manager.
  • Maintain the accuracy of monthly profit and loss statements.
  • Review the application of daily deposits.
  • Identify client billing issues and oversee collection efforts, including management of payment plans for delinquent accounts.
  • Coordinate and lead biweekly team meetings.
  • Establish and communicate clear performance expectations, objectives, and key results for Accounting Clerks.
  • Manage the distribution of quarterly rebate payments.
  • Develop and monitor procedures describing how financial accounting transactions are recorded and reported by the company.
  • Apply modern internal control principles and techniques when developing accounting control reports.
  • Assist with collecting information needed for financial audits initiated by internal and external auditors.
  • Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or higher degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
  • Two years of previous experience as a supervisor in a healthcare accounting-based department is preferred.
  • Experience with CloudSuite Accounting System is preferred.
