Requirements
  • Knowledge of the theory, content, and applications of human anatomy, human physiology, and/or pathophysiology.
  • Basic knowledge of internet research techniques and methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A master's degree or higher from an accredited academic institution.
  • A master's degree in a health-related profession or biological sciences, or an accepted professional degree such as M.D., D.O., D.C., or DPT, with corresponding credentials and licensure.
  • Ability to provide quality instruction and student support.
  • Ability to plan and present instruction incorporating critical thinking and general education outcomes.
  • Ability to demonstrate student-centered teaching strategies.
  • Ability to direct and assist students during active laboratory experiences.
  • Ability to incorporate learning technologies and multimedia technology.
  • Ability to perform student learning outcomes assessments.
  • Ability to adapt to a multi-campus organizational work environment and changes in the discipline.
Responsibilities
  • Teach clinical and didactic courses, including anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pathology, pharmacology, and health care administration.
  • Prepare and deliver instructional materials to support student outcomes.
  • Assess students objectively for academic performance.
  • Organize and present subject matter to students.
  • Supplement approved student materials as necessary.
  • Maintain the security of assessment tools and confidential documentation.
  • Use and monitor learning management systems.
  • Conduct classes for the required length of time.
  • Be available to students who need additional help or have questions.
  • Maintain student grades and records.
  • Assist with course development, accreditation, student advising, and research related to the school.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least two years of prior teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching face-to-face and/or online courses.
  • Experience using online course management systems and online course instruction techniques and methods.
  • Experience in the procedures of a teaching and learning laboratory setting.
