Position: Cinematics Lead
Location: Remote Working Arrangement

Jackalyptic Games is seeking a talented and experienced Cinematics Lead to join our team. As a Cinematics Lead you will play a pivotal role in crafting heavy story-driven moments within an exciting Sci-Fi universe with an established IP. As a key leader, your expertise in team organization and driving cross-discipline efforts will be instrumental in bringing immersive cinematic experiences to life. Responsibilities:

Build and lead a cross discipline cinematic team in the development of high-quality game story driven moments
Organize and guide teams of artists, designers and engineers to create a cinematic pipeline that will be used for years to come
Develop top-tier cinematic quality standards for both internal and external resources
Responsible for planning and prioritization of tasks with production staff
Track the entire cinematic creation process, proactively identifying issues and executing solutions
Collaborate with the Art and Animation Leads/Directors to unify the look and feel of cinematics with gameplay
Communicate and work closely with the Art and Level Design teams to translate scripted scenes into cinematics and to balance story with gameplay
Share knowledge and collaborate with technical Leads to improve the quality of toolsets
Ability to get hands on where necessary with cinematic creation

Requirements:

Minimum of 6+ years working with Cinematics – Minimum of 2+ years as a lead on a shipped AAA project
A strong knowledge of storytelling, film language, and cinematography techniques
Drive to grow the cinematics team to new levels in a time where real-time cinematics are more popular than ever. And new tools / updates being introduced (Unreal Engine 5)
Excellent leadership and people skills
Excellent communication skills and teamwork-oriented attitude
Excellent organizational skills
