Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience testing embedded firmware systems and microcontroller-based products.
  • Strong understanding of embedded firmware validation and board-level testing.
  • Experience with microcontroller architectures and embedded logic.
  • Experience testing power electronics, inverters, or related electrical systems.
  • Strong Python programming skills for scripting, debugging, and test automation.
  • Experience with data collection, data analysis, and interpretation of validation results.
  • Experience documenting validation activities, test results, and engineering reports.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation practices.
Responsibilities
  • Execute firmware and hardware validation testing for embedded power electronics and inverter systems using established test plans and procedures.
  • Perform board-level validation of embedded systems and microcontroller-based hardware.
  • Validate products against industry standards and certification requirements, including ISO 17025 laboratory processes.
  • Conduct hands-on testing in a fully equipped on-site laboratory environment.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large volumes of test data to identify trends, anomalies, and product performance issues.
  • Develop clear, detailed validation reports and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate test execution, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Debug firmware and hardware issues using Python and standard laboratory instrumentation.
  • Support component-level testing, including electrical fault and short-circuit evaluations.
  • Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and systems engineering teams to investigate failures and drive root cause analysis.
  • Continuously improve automated test frameworks, validation processes, and laboratory efficiency.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.
  • Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems, renewable energy products, electric vehicle charging systems, or inverter technologies.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, data acquisition systems, programmable power supplies, and electronic loads.
  • Experience validating embedded firmware running on ARM, STM32, TI, NXP, Microchip, or similar microcontroller platforms.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, or Modbus.
  • Experience building automated test frameworks for embedded hardware and firmware validation.
