  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Six months of experience in a customer service setting is required.
  • A Cleveland County Food Handlers Permit is required before beginning work in the coffee shop.
  • Must be able to correctly count money and troubleshoot on the point-of-sale system.
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality customer service and develop relationships with customers.
  • Learn to prepare consistent drinks according to Starbucks recipes and standards.
  • Learn to prepare food products for serving.
  • Learn to receive and prepare food items for resale and keep cases and shelves properly stocked throughout the day while considering profitability and loss reduction.
  • Follow Health Department guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean work environment using opening and closing procedure checklists and follow store cleaning policies.
  • Learn to accurately charge for products, follow cash-handling procedures, and prepare precise and accurate deposits.
  • Learn to troubleshoot and resolve computer or transaction issues.
  • Suggest innovative ways to reduce loss and waste and increase profitability.
  • Learn to troubleshoot issues that arise throughout the workday and communicate results with the Supervisor as necessary.
Desired Qualifications
  • Six months of experience as a barista is preferred.
