IOT Security Researcher Internship

1. Development of Open Test Documentation Format for IoT Security Testing:
   • Assist in the design and development of an open, standardized test documentation format for IoT security testing.
   • Support the collection of security testing requirements for IoT devices by collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
   • Help maintain and update documentation to ensure it aligns with the latest IoT security trends and practices.
   • Provide support in integrating the documentation format with automated testing platforms.
2. Development of GenAI LLM for Vendor Attestation Validation Against Certification Requirements:
   • Assist in the development and fine-tuning of a Generative AI (GenAI) model for validating vendor attestations against IoT security certification requirements.
   • Support the team in gathering data and training the AI model to accurately validate vendor claims.
   • Learn to cross-reference vendor attestations with relevant certification requirements.
   • Help with testing and iterating the AI model to improve its performance and accuracy.
3. Development of GenAI LLM for developing automated cybersecurity test procedures against Certification Requirements:
   • Assist in the design, develop, and fine-tune a Generative AI (GenAI) model for understanding target attack surface
   • Leverage GenAI to generate a target-specific cybersecurity test procedure
   • Help automate execution of test procedure using REST API
   • Help validate completeness and accuracy of generated test procedure against manual plans

1. Technical Skills:
   • Basic understanding of IoT security, including common vulnerabilities and testing methodologies.
   • Familiarity with Generative AI or interest in learning about large language models (LLMs) and AI/ML technologies.
   • Some experience or academic background in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++.
   • Interest in working with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
2. Analytical Skills:
   • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen interest in analyzing security data and vendor attestations.
   • Ability to learn quickly and contribute to tasks related to both documentation format development and AI model improvement.
3. Collaboration & Communication:
   • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
   • Willingness to learn and apply feedback from team members to improve work outputs.
4. Education & Background:
   • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
   • A passion for security, AI, and technology is a plus, but not required.
5. Additional Skills (Preferred):
   • Familiarity with IoT devices and their security certifications is a plus but not required.
   • Any coursework or project experience involving AI, machine learning, or cybersecurity is a bonus.

This position is ideal for someone eager to learn and grow in the field of IoT security and AI/ML, with guidance and support from experienced professionals.

 Hourly range for this role will be between$25-45 per hour
