Teaching Assistant

The Teaching Assistant supports the instructor and students of a Chemistry or Physics course throughout the semester. Skills necessary for this position include the ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with students and supervisors, working assigned hours (up to 6 hours each week), an understanding of the course material being taught, helping students as directed by the instructor, respecting student confidentiality, and maintaining classroom or laboratory order and cleanliness. Student employees working in Science Hall laboratory settings must attend a mandatory safety meeting to learn safety procedures necessary for the job.
