Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Technical discipline (e.g. Engineering), or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles, preferably with electromechanical assembly or consumer electronics experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and production management, including experience leading a complex, high-rate production facility, and using Lean principles and practices and ERP and other information systems.
  • Ability to interpret operating metrics and financial data to diagnose performance and manage production goals.
  • Excellent leadership, managerial, supervisory, and planning/execution skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build and sustain high levels of team engagement and motivation.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members.
  • Strong customer service orientation, interpersonal skills, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to appropriately manage confidential, sensitive information.
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Responsibilities
  • Help to stand up a new manufacturing organization, including setting up the production processes and equipment, hiring, onboarding, and developing a high-performing operations team, and onboarding new manufacturing programs that we anticipate scaling rapidly.
  • Partner with other support departments to ensure readiness for program launch and ramp-up.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, priorities, and activities to ensure delivery on customer commitments and attainment of Aerospace production business objectives.
  • Establish production systems, workflows, and performance metrics to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) objectives are met.
  • Provide leadership and management of Re:Builders to ensure effective selection, development, retention, and performance management of team members.
  • Lead day-to-day production operations and coordinate priorities with supporting site functions. Own ongoing performance KPIs and metrics and use them to drive improvement in production performance and volume/workflow planning. This will include Lean thinking and the use of Lean tools and methods for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement effective communication and engagement strategies to ensure teams are informed, aligned, and motivated to accomplish objectives.
  • Assist with budget preparation for the business unit and monitor operational and financial metrics, take corrective actions, and report performance to senior leadership. Participate in capacity planning activities to support business growth and sustainment.
