Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in early childhood, elementary education, or a related field is preferred; an associate degree may be considered with corresponding experience.
  • Three to four years of experience working with children and families, including some supervisory experience, is preferred, or an equivalent combination of related experience and education.
  • Administrative experience is preferred.
  • A Director's Credential is required, or the employee must be willing to obtain it within 12 months of employment.
  • High-level computer and technology proficiency, knowledge of technical platforms, and virtual meeting facilitation skills are required.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with children and adults, respond to inquiries or complaints, and present information effectively is required.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish ability is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Provide program delivery, planning, implementation, compliance assurance, service integration, and adherence to YWCA standards across multiple Court Care drop-in childcare locations.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to Court Care site managers and staff on virtual platforms, technology and communication systems, virtual programming, record keeping and reporting, program policies and procedures, and age-appropriate activities.
  • Ensure the program follows YWCA South Florida policies and procedures and meets high-quality program standards.
  • Supervise all staff and trainees assigned to the court-care sites, including substitutes, and arrange substitutes as needed.
  • Manage the accuracy and timeliness of timesheets, sign-in and sign-out logs, attendance records, and monthly grantee reporting.
  • Monitor the annual budget and conserve materials to keep expenditures within budget.
  • Safeguard the physical care and nurturing of children and provide welcoming, safe environments and age-appropriate activities.
  • Maintain positive relationships with sponsoring sites, personnel, parents, funders, and agencies.
  • Attend YWCA in-house staff training and meet funder professional-development needs.
  • Conduct site or virtual visits to evaluate program compliance and quality.
  • Travel in a non-company vehicle to multiple sites for business purposes as needed.
  • Refer participants to sites for virtual pre-court-hearing counseling and technical assistance and virtual age-appropriate activities.
  • Coordinate virtual and on-site activities with site managers.
  • Provide resources and referrals to families as needed.
  • Ensure implementation, compliance, and YWCA standards across multiple drop-off childcare locations and the virtual technical-assistance program.
  • Ensure all monthly reports are submitted timely to the Director of Education.
  • Arrange and maintain furniture and materials to promote independent and group management.
  • Encourage children's positive self-image through active listening, responsive interaction, reinforcement, and support for independence.
  • Use positive, non-punitive discipline techniques and guide children in controlling their behavior through positive and appropriate approaches.
Desired Qualifications
