Requirements
  • Deep, current executive relationships within the top 5–100 U.S. banks.
  • Working fluency in bank procurement, security, risk, compliance, and executive buying processes at national scale.
  • A track record of personally originating, negotiating, and closing enterprise technology deals, including $3M–$5M ACV deals contributing to $10M+ multi-year platform commitments.
  • Experience building pipeline from cold and closing deals without pre-existing relationships.
  • Experience selling at an early-stage or new-category company and helping build its sales materials, case studies, or pricing model.
  • Working knowledge of bank infrastructure, operational realities, security posture, and regulatory regimes.
  • Credibility in C-suite engagements with banking executives, including CEOs, Presidents, CIOs, CTOs, Chief Digital Officers, Chief Risk Officers, and Heads of Wealth or Trust.
  • Technical literacy in cloud, data architecture, application programming interfaces, artificial intelligence governance, and security frameworks.
  • Ability to manage pipeline stages, forecasts, account plans, and prioritization with data-driven discipline.
  • Willingness to travel substantially across the United States and work from New York with regular travel to major U.S. financial hubs.
Responsibilities
  • Own a quota and personally lead the pursuit and close of $10M+ platform commitments with U.S. middle-market and regional financial institutions.
  • Run the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pipeline development, discovery, technical evaluation, security and procurement review, commercial negotiation, and closing.
  • Maintain an accurate forecast and inspect the pipeline regularly.
  • Generate qualified pipeline through outbound activity, executive briefings, partner channels, events, and targeted content.
  • Build relationships from cold where necessary and produce pipeline in accounts without initial relationship access.
  • Maintain account plans with economic buyers, internal champions, compelling events, and mutual close plans.
  • Translate each deal into reusable sales assets and help define the strategic go-to-market motion.
  • Partner with the CEO and Product leadership on pricing, packaging, positioning, and institutional-buyer input.
  • Help establish forecasting cadence, pipeline reviews, and deal-stage definitions.
  • Drive expansion within closed accounts through coordinated plans with Customer Success and Product.
  • Build an early customer reference base.
  • Run InfoSec, regulatory, legal, and procurement processes in parallel with commercial negotiations.
  • Coordinate Legal, Security, and Compliance internally to clear approvals.
  • Build relationships across risk, technology, and business-line stakeholders.
  • Represent Monstro in executive briefings, industry forums, public speaking, and customer references.
  • As revenue and pipeline justify it, help recruit additional strategic account executives and supporting roles.
  • Walk through recent deals, demonstrate how to compress bank sales cycles, build a 90-day plan for an account without existing relationships, pressure-test the company narrative and pricing, and describe the sales artifacts to build in the first six months.
Desired Qualifications
  • Former bank-side leadership experience, provided the candidate subsequently demonstrated the ability to originate, negotiate, and close enterprise technology deals from a cold start.
