Responsibilities

Build awesome user interfaces with a premium on experimentation and active learning
Translate Figma designs into reasonably predictable units of work
Develop and enhance native components that unlock new capabilities for our team and other teams in the Hopper universe
Influence the technical direction of our server-driven UI framework
Collaborate with a diverse group of people, giving and receiving feedback for growth
Design and implement APIs to drive our UI and facilitate integration by other teams at Hopper

We’re looking for a mid-level or senior engineer with mobile experience (Swift/Kotlin), a passion for UX, and demonstrated a capacity for developing features vertically, from screen to database. The Hopper mobile ecosystem is unique. We mix native mobile components and server driven rendering in order to expedite cross-platform development in pursuit of faster, iterative learning about what our customers want. In this role you’ll be breathing life into designs and user experiences by contributing code across a broad array of systems, including native iOS and Android, Scala-driven UI, and systems interoperability on the back end. You will be truly “full-stack” and you will contribute to tangible, important business outcomes by traversing every tier of the Hopper engineering ecosystem.
