Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial position within the Soldier Systems, wearable electronics or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of the Soldier Systems and Wearable Computing & Instrumentation markets, including trends, customer needs, and competition.
  • Established network and connections within the Defense and Commercial sectors, with a proven track record of successful sales and customer retention.
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts related to wearable electronics and effectively communicate them to customers.
  • A strategic and analytical mindset to identify new business opportunities and develop sales plans accordingly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • A demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support the sales team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company objectives and revenue targets in the Soldier Systems and Wearable Computing & Instrumentation markets.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to maximize their potential and drive results.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify key trends, competitors, and opportunities in the wearable electronics industry.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with existing and potential Defense and Commercial customers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the target markets.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and regularly report on sales performance, pipeline development, and market trends to the executive team.
  • Work closely with the finance and legal teams to establish competitive pricing strategies and lead contract negotiations with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and events to showcase wearable electronics solutions and build brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product development, and marketing teams to align sales strategies with product roadmaps and ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team, continuously measuring performance and implementing improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure that all sales activities and processes comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
