Requirements
  • 5+ years of automotive technician, fleet maintenance, or diagnostic repair experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive systems, repair methods, tools, and diagnostics.
  • Strong experience with vehicle troubleshooting, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
  • Experience working with hybrid drivetrains, high-voltage systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, chassis, cooling, and suspension systems.
  • Knowledge of Controller Area Network and Local Interconnect Network systems, embedded modules, and vehicle sensor systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot Linux-based systems.
  • A clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, self-direction, and strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
  • Execute high-quality repairs according to work instructions and original equipment manufacturer standards.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections and system checks to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hybrid, and high-voltage vehicle systems.
  • Configure, maintain, diagnose, and sign off vehicles for safe on-road operation.
  • Inspect and test completed repairs as part of quality control procedures.
  • Escalate advanced technical issues to engineering teams when necessary.
  • Document repairs, findings, diagnostics, and service reports in specialized service platforms.
  • Support fleet readiness, workshop operations, and maintenance optimization initiatives.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, parts inventory, and organized shop facilities.
  • Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration, safety, hazardous waste, and personal protective equipment compliance standards.
  • Travel locally as needed to support fleet operations and vehicle deployments.
Desired Qualifications
  • ASE Certification and/or manufacturer certification.
  • A technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in Automotive Technology.
  • Experience supporting autonomous vehicle fleets or advanced mobility platforms.
  • Familiarity with self-driving systems and sensor stacks.
  • Experience optimizing fleet maintenance operations and original equipment manufacturer service processes.
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally nationally.
