About the role:

Are you ready to work on critical technology that powers the UK’s submarines?

We are seeking talented Engineers to design and develop Platform Management Systems (PMS) for the UK’s fleet of nuclear-powered submarines.

In this role, you will design, integrate, and upgrade PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial networks, ensuring these systems meet the demanding requirements of operational reliability, security, and performance in mission-critical environments.

As well as configuring and maintaining existing systems, you’ll play a key role in designing the next generation of PMS, ensuring they are future-proof and meet evolving operational demands. You will work with cutting-edge industrial control technologies and communicate with key stakeholders ensuring the system remains secure and adaptable over the lifetime of the submarines.

Role responsibilities:

As a Graduate V&V Engineer, you’ll get to work on pioneering projects for national defence programmes. Reporting to the V&V Team Lead, you will: Font size change below

• Compile design estimates and requirements 

• Complete systems and software integration and acceptance testing

• Deliver E&EMC test activities.

• Complete project design and risk reviews

• Undertake fault and issue reporting, including regular reporting to management and project teams

We are looking for:

• An Engineering degree in a suitable discipline such as Electronics or Systems Engineering (or equivalent)

• Experience with systems/equipment test, plus an understanding of laboratory test tools (such as multi meters, oscilloscopes and logic analysers)

• Motivation to assign and execute a variety of project functions efficiently and professionally

• Experience in MS Office applications (Word and Excel)
