Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in media relations, communications, journalism, or a related field is required.
  • Strong interest in financial markets, private investments, and wealth management trends is required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel is required.
  • Comfort experimenting with artificial intelligence tools and workflow automation is required.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of press interviews across public markets, private markets, and wealth channels, from inbound request through coverage amplification.
  • Track media requests, coordinate approvals and spokesperson availability, schedule interviews across time zones, prepare briefing books and draft talking points, monitor coverage, and circulate published pieces internally with context and key takeaways.
  • Support social amplification and maintain accurate interview trackers and records.
  • Own the preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly, and annual media metrics reports.
  • Track key performance indicators including reputation score, volume, reach, sentiment, spokesperson engagement, and message penetration.
  • Identify trends and insights across investment capabilities and client segments, support leadership presentations with data-driven analysis, and help evolve reporting dashboards for clarity, automation, and strategic value.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Partner with the team to explore and implement artificial-intelligence-enabled solutions for briefing materials, media-monitoring summaries, and metrics tracking.
  • Document and refine processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Monitor daily financial, macroeconomic, private-markets, and wealth-management news.
  • Highlight timely storylines and emerging trends where Wellington investment professionals could contribute, maintain a forward-looking editorial calendar, and track competitor and peer-firm media activity.
  • Maintain and update media lists across priority outlets, log journalist interactions in Roxhill, build familiarity with key reporters and editorial themes, and support proactive outreach and thematic pitching initiatives.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations and media-strategy materials for internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Draft internal communications related to media activity and key coverage moments, maintain organized trackers and documentation, support logistics for press tours and media events, assist with select award submissions and speaking opportunities, and coordinate media training and other reactive communications support as needed.

Avere Therapeutics raises $500M to advance once-weekly oral IL-23 therapy AVR-001

Avere Therapeutics announced a $500 million private placement to advance AVR-001, its once-weekly oral IL-23 receptor antagonist for inflammatory diseases. Leading healthcare investors including Venrock Healthcare Capital Partners, General Atlantic, Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing, and Wellington Management participated in the funding round. Combined with a previously announced $320 million concurrent private investment, the proceeds will fully fund Avere's operations through 2029. The financing will close alongside Avere's merger with NextCure, expected in the second half of 2026. Tarsus Pharmaceuticals has secured $125 million through an oversubscribed private placement equity financing. Wellington, Vanguard and Blackstone launch funds blending public and private assets

Wellington Management has launched two closed-end funds in partnership with Vanguard and Blackstone, initially available through Bank of America's wealth platforms. The WVB All Markets Fund combines public equities, fixed income, index strategies and Blackstone's private-market assets. The WVB Blackstone All Privates Fund allocates across private equity, infrastructure, real estate and credit. Both funds will be offered to eligible clients of Merrill and Bank of America Private Bank, with plans to expand through registered investment advisers and other wealth channels. Wellington serves as investment manager, whilst Vanguard provides fixed-income and index exposure and Blackstone contributes its perpetual private-market platform. The launch reflects broader efforts to bring private-market investments, traditionally limited to institutions, to high-net-worth and mass-affluent investors.
