Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering or other related discipline required.
  • Strong object oriented programming skills in C#, Python and C++.
  • Experience with Linux and its commands.
  • Experience with source control (git), software testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
  • Enjoys learning new technologies, skills, and techniques as well as teaching them to others.
Responsibilities
  • Play a hands-on role as part of an engineering team that works to design, develop, review and test new functionality.
  • Collaborate with others on an agile/scrum team to build features based on new business requirements.
  • Design and develop real-time distributed software to orchestrate the induction of new inventory and order fulfillment to customers.  Specifically developing changes required to support customer integrations.
  • Contribute to a distributed architecture built on .NET using multi-threaded and multi-processor concepts.
  • Create visualizations to extract understanding of current state from logs.
  • Develop high quality code and packages following software engineering best practices.
  • Participate in customer facing calls, visits and workshops to educate and support customers on the integration requirements between Symbotic and customer systems.
  • Work with our customer's technical resources to test Symbotic integrations with their systems.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Vitis and Vivaldo is a plus.
  • Containerized development (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with cross platform .NET core development is a plus.
  • Experience with MS SQL and the SQL language is a plus.

WILMINGTON, Mass., Jan. 28, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --  Symbotic Inc. SYM, a leader in A.I.-enabled robotics technology for the supply chain, today announced it has both completed the acquisition of the Advanced Systems and Robotics business from Walmart WMT and signed the related commercial agreement with Walmart covering the development and deployment of automation systems for Accelerated Pickup and Delivery centers ("APDs") at Walmart stores (the "Commercial Agreement"). Walmart has chosen Symbotic to develop, build and deploy an advanced solution leveraging Symbotic's A.I.-enabled robotics platform to offer Walmart customers greater shopping convenience through accelerated online pickup and delivery options at stores. Under the terms of the Commercial Agreement, Symbotic will engage in a development program funded by Walmart to enhance current online pickup and delivery fulfillment systems as well as to design new systems to meet the needs of current and future customers. If performance criteria are achieved, Walmart is committed to purchasing and deploying systems for 400 APDs at stores over a multi-year period, with Walmart's option to add additional APDs in the coming years
