Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in quality, engineering, business administration, operations, or a related field, although equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 8 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or technical operations, including at least 3 years leading a quality program on a federal or defense contract.
  • Expertise in audit planning, quality metrics development, Performance Work Statement and Acceptable Quality Levels interpretation, root-cause analysis, data analysis, and customer reporting.
  • A Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Ability to pass a background check and potentially additional project- or client-required background checks.
  • Clear, professional, and articulate communication skills, including strong verbal and written communication.
  • Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multifunctional team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of federal or defense contracting requirements, including contract performance standards and Acceptable Quality Levels.
  • Proficiency in surveillance and audit planning, with attention to detail and adherence to timelines.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and sustain the Quality Management Program in alignment with organizational goals, industry standards, and contract requirements.
  • Create and maintain the Quality Program Plan to align with the Performance Work Statement and related quality standards.
  • Design, maintain, and execute a surveillance schedule.
  • Lead comprehensive internal audits covering processes and deliverables.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly Quality Status Reports with metrics and analysis for internal and external stakeholders, including federal or defense contracting entities.
  • Evaluate compliance with Performance Work Statement standards, Acceptable Quality Levels, deliverables, staffing commitments, and performance objectives.
  • Monitor and use performance data to support contractual obligations and operational goals.
  • Lead root-cause analyses, corrective action plans, preventive action measures, and trend analyses.
  • Verify closure of identified issues and track measurable progress through structured processes.
  • Coordinate with site quality focal points to support program consistency and quality execution.
  • Independently execute quality functions while maintaining boundaries of responsibility to avoid conflicts of interest when site data support is provided.
  • Support team cross-training and ensure coverage of critical quality functions.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support for incidents, exercises, deadlines, and travel obligations.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Industry-recognized quality certifications, such as ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, Certified Quality Engineer, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Lean Six Sigma at any belt level, or comparable quality credentials.
