Kitchen Stewarding Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professionally organized Kitchen Stewarding Manager to join our team in Udaipur, India. In this role, you will oversee all kitchen stewarding operations, ensuring the highest standards of sanitation, food safety, and equipment maintenance. You will lead a team of stewarding staff, manage inventory efficiently, and maintain compliance with food safety regulations while supporting the overall success of our food service operations.

• Supervise and manage the kitchen stewarding team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure operational excellence
• Develop and implement comprehensive cleaning schedules and sanitation protocols to maintain the highest food safety and hygiene standards
• Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, kitchen equipment, and stewarding materials while optimizing costs
• Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and organizational standards
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to kitchen operations
• Analyze operational data and prepare reports on sanitation compliance, inventory usage, and team performance
• Organize and schedule staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow throughout service periods
• Collaborate with kitchen management and other departments to address operational challenges and implement process improvements
• Ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals and cleaning materials in accordance with safety regulations
• Train and educate team members on food safety protocols, equipment operation, and best practices in kitchen stewarding

Qualifications

• Proven experience in kitchen stewarding, food service operations, or related hospitality management roles
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise teams effectively with strong interpersonal skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and HACCP principles
• Proficiency in inventory management and cost control analysis
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Detail-oriented approach to quality assurance and compliance monitoring
• Experience with kitchen management software and inventory tracking systems
• Familiarity with equipment maintenance procedures and troubleshooting
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Knowledge of local food safety regulations and standards applicable to Udaipur, India
• Food safety certification or food hygiene qualification (preferred)
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions
