Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and TypeScript.
  • Comfort deploying modern systems in cloud-native environments.
  • Experience with generative artificial intelligence systems, orchestration, and production deployment pipelines is highly valuable.
  • Experience with Rust is a strong plus for performance-sensitive backend work.
  • Relevant experience with Bash or zsh, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Next.js, HTML, C, or AppleScript.
Responsibilities
  • Work across Phabricator, CodeHub, Tasks, Sheets, and Drive; navigate fbsource and trace changes through diff history.
  • Operate hosted agent control planes, including missions and scheduling and the agent-home session registry, and reconcile reported state with locally running processes.
  • Build and run MCP servers and bridges, package and distribute plugins, and diagnose tool-registry and transport failures.
  • Operate within agent security guardrails, including the probabilistic LLM-judge enforcement layer, while distinguishing them from user authorization.
  • Apply DSS classification, including levels, ceilings, category-versus-level enforcement, and clearance-gate discrepancies between user interfaces and APIs.
  • Run compliance quality assurance against written requirements and produce peer-comparable evidence.
  • Handle security and vulnerability workflows, including severity assessment, remediation service-level objectives, coordination with VM Operations, and fix verification.
  • Dogfood and red-team internal platforms and file evidence-backed defects.
  • Design supervisor/worker systems with lifecycle management, health checking, failure isolation, automated recovery, and coordination of concurrent workers over shared state.
  • Design for non-deterministic agent execution.
  • Build all layers of systems, including supervisors, tooling, operator interfaces, and user-facing product surfaces.
  • Write long-running services that manage child processes, including daemon loops, scheduling, timeout budgets, cancellation, graceful shutdown, and liveness detection.
  • Build operator consoles for at-a-glance triage with minimal deployment dependencies.
  • Write test and automation tooling, including browser automation, operating-system input APIs, and screen-state capture.
  • Write protocol clients with handshakes, timeouts, teardown, and parsing of variably shaped responses.
  • Work with Unix domain sockets, standard input/output transports, named pipes, local proxies, connection pooling, and keep-alive behavior.
  • Debug faults across service, transport, and client layers.
  • Handle authentication and credentials for local processes, including socket-based authentication, certificate agents, token handling, and identity on shared accounts.
  • Own the day-to-day operation of a running agent fleet, including restarts, resets, cadence tuning, scheduled-job lifecycle, and scheduling against shared or rate-limited backends.
  • Manage unbounded growth in logs and stored data through retention and rotation.
  • Emit machine-readable system state and build the views that consume it.
  • Diagnose degraded systems that continue responding and write health checks that verify whether components can still perform their intended functions.
  • Build integrations that remain functional through dependency upgrades.
  • Turn incidents into permanent regression guards.
  • Critically evaluate artificial-intelligence-generated code and analysis by identifying unverified claims, stale inputs, silent scope changes, and incomplete fixes.
  • Write code and documentation that explain rationale as well as behavior.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with generative artificial intelligence systems, orchestration, and production deployment pipelines.
  • Experience with Rust for performance-sensitive backend work.
  • AppleScript experience for quick demonstrations and prototyping.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • June 28, 2026 Israel hiring plans add 100 testers, SAP, cloud, and automation roles.
  • August 19, 2026 Tricentis partnership expands enterprise testing sales and joint delivery.
  • 2025 leadership hires Andrew Duncan, Oscar Perez, and Mike Shaklik strengthen execution.

What critics are saying

  • Automation is eliminating QA jobs; Check Point cut QA, and Wix layoffs fuel competition.
  • Rebrand churn signals strategy drift, risking customer confusion during 2026 enterprise renewals.
  • If AI testing commoditizes, Qualitest becomes a staffing vendor squeezed by hyperscalers and in-house platforms.

What makes Qualitest unique

  • June 17, 2026 rebrand to QualityAI positions Qualitest as AI-first assurance, not generic QA.
  • August 3, 2026 National Robotarium partnership targets robotics validation across regulated industries.
  • 7,000 employees and 1,500 in Israel give Qualitest deep global delivery capacity.

QualityAI to hire 100 employees in Israel despite AI-driven QA layoffs.

QualityAI to hire 100 employees in Israel despite AI-driven QA layoffs. The software testing company, previously known as QualiTest, is expanding its local workforce even as the industry moves toward automation. 17:41, 28.06.26 While a large portion of the high-tech layoffs in recent weeks comes from the software testing (QA) field, which is shifting toward automated execution using AI, there are companies that do not believe in this trend. Calcalist has learned that the veteran software testing company QualiTest is currently recruiting 100 employees for software testing positions, SAP testers, cloud testing specialists, and automation specialists. QualiTest, a veteran company that has been operating for almost 30 years, is managed by Shai Lieberman and recently changed its name to QualityAI. It employs about 7,000 employees worldwide, mainly in Eastern Europe, of whom 1,500 are in Israel. All of the new positions are in the Israeli branch. The company confirmed the news and noted that it even intends to specifically approach employees laid off from Wix, which recently cut around 1,000 jobs, in order to recruit them for the open positions. This is a surprising move in light of the fact that QA is one of the first fields undergoing automation and replacement by AI. For example, Israeli cyber giant Check Point recently disbanded its QA department; some employees were laid off, while others were reassigned to different roles within the company. In response, QualityAI says that as AI systems expand and become an integral part of business operations, organizations are discovering that the real challenge is not only adopting AI, but ensuring it can be trusted. For many organizations, AI adoption creates new needs for planning, monitoring, and verifying the performance of AI-based systems. According to QualityAI, the move is also intended to address "AI washing", layoffs that are not necessarily driven by AI adoption, but are instead aimed at improving workforce efficiency or reducing excess headcount accumulated during the boom period.
